SKI COMMITTEE CHAIRS

Katherine (Casy) Calver 

  • Backcountry Tele, AT, XC
  • AIARE I & II. PSIA telemark level 1
  • Learned to ski at 7 but didn’t discover my backcountry obsession until I moved to New England in 2009. Primarily an A/T skier, I also dabble in skimo racing, telemark, nordic, and everything in between!

Chris Peter 

  • Backcountry AT, XC
  • AIARE-I-II-rescue, WFA, OEC
  • Leading AMC trips since 2022 from mellow nordic tours to spicy gullies on Washington and everything in between. Love exploring ski pockets throughout New England.

Jillian Willard

Amber Porter

  • Currently a leader in training. Since learning to ski as an adult I’ve discovered the bliss of gliding on the snow on the less traveled trails. My special interests are backcountry nordic and women’s groups.

Andre Gratto

  • Backcountry AT, XC
  • Skiing almost since he could walk and continues to find new wonders and challenges across the Northeast. He is most passionate about backcountry XC, but still gets in a few days of AT and Nordic as well.

  • AMC ski trip leader since 2009 for cross country and backcountry telemark. I particularly enjoy leading challenging nordic trips that combine touring with steep terrain.

Erik Endrulat

  • Grew up cross country and alpine skiing, now primarily a telemark, nordic and skate skier. I enjoy exploring with skins and scales during the winter, and by bike and foot during the other seasons.

Jaimee Rondeau

  • Grew up in New England but didn’t know a thing about skiing until my 30s. One time down the mountain and been chasing snow ever since.

Jed Eliades

  • AMC ski trip leader and instructor for over 25 years. Also a telemark skier

Joel Sadler

  • Avid backcountry and xc skier who has been skiing here for over 40 years. I love the woods of NH and the NH seasons. When not skiing, I volunteer as a land steward for the Forest Society

Margaret Brumsted

  • Lives in the ski mecca of Rhode Island?!?! But makes her way to the mountains of New Hampshire as often as possible!!

Marty Janoschek

  • Leading trips since 2000, instructing at Cardigan ski school since 1999 and exploring the outdoors since 1966. I love to be outdoors in general: hiking, climbing, cycling or running. Finished my winter 48 and working on high-points for 50 states.

Matt Schraut

  • AIARE 1, WFA
  • I’m a lifelong New England skier. I began backcountry skiing in 2008 to explore classic backcountry areas and avoid resort crowds! I’ve led AMC backcountry ski trips since 2015. I’m interested in all things skiing and climbing related. I now lead intermediate-advanced trips on my AT skis and family XC trips with my son.

Nik Fiore

  • Leading AMC NH ski trips since 2015. Grew up alpine skiing the Whites, skied the Greens during college, spent a few years in the Rockies, and move back East in 2008. Added in tele in 2001 and AT in 2014. GBA Board member helping create new ski lines in the Whites.

Sarah Sallade

  • Leading ski trips since 2021, on top of a lifetime of skiing in NH. My favorite ski committee activities include supporting skiers transitioning to backcountry and those navigating the ins and outs of bringing children backcountry skiing.

Scott Taylor

  • Trip Leader/Chapter Instructor since 1996, PSIA X/C & Telemark, Paramedic/Ski Patroller
  • Skiing for almost 60 years. Learned by walking uphill in leather boots on skis with cable bindings and skiing down. Slow learner, still walk up hills in leather boots and ski down! Ski trail maintainer at Cardigan.
