Enjoy the water with us! Salt or Fresh – Mild or Wild

The AMC NH Paddlers are people who enjoy life on and off the water. Like other AMC activity committees, the paddlers are outdoor enthusiasts with an interest in paddling as well as a concern for protecting and conserving our waterways. Paddling trips for all skill levels and moods are offered nearly every weekend from early March until late October and beyond.  During the long, warm days of Spring and Summer, our Wednesday night quiet water paddles are very popular, especially for first-timers.

Click here for upcoming AMC NH Paddling Trips. This will take you to AMC’s Website and will open in a new tab.

Experienced and friendly Leaders
An experienced leader, rated according to AMC standards, leads each trip.  Many trips will have a co-leader too.

Come meet our leaders.  They would like to introduce themselves.  Take a look to see them doing what they love.

Speaking of leaders.. Do you love bringing people to some favorite paddle spots too?  Consider becoming an AMC Paddle Leader!  We’ll teach you how and even provide training and coaching. Check out the details and learn more right here!

What if I need a boat?
Did you know that we offer rentals? We have rental kayaks and canoes available for people to enjoy our trips, so if you would like to join in on any adventure, we’ll met you there, equip you, and lead you on a safe and fun water adventure! Want to see what we have available? Check out our fleet!

Our Executive Committee

Is paddling your passion? Wanna get more involved? Our paddlers committee has openings!  If you’d like to serve, please have a look and contact any chair.

Bogs River Lows lake Adirondacks ( ~20 miles)

This trip is to introduce you to canoe camping or a test run for some of the longer trips I have planed latter in the season. There are only 2 portages around a couple dams I plan on taking time to fish NY fishing license will be required

The plan to arrive at the put in Wednesday around 11 am and paddle down the river to the lake then make camp. Thursday we will explore the lake depending on how far we paddles we will either paddle to a new campsite that night on stay at the site. You should be fit enough to paddle 4-6 hours a day. The camping is free and there are around 30 campsites. I plan on being off the water by noon on Friday or Saturday at the latest. You will need to carry everything you need to camp for gear and food.

II am doing midweek trip because it can get very crowded and finding a campsite could be difficult on the weekend. The area was closed all 2024 so it could have a lot traffic this year we want to be close enough Friday to paddle out probably. Stay at same site on Friday night

.Kevlar canoes can be rented at various outfitters in Saranac NY. Because of the short portages and flat water this trip is suitable for kayaks as long as there is room for your gear.

Royalex boats can be rented from the NH AMC Contact to rent a canoe from us.
