Useful stuff for leading trips
Latest COVID rules
Training
- Watch the 30 minute Required Online Training Video for Phase One Volunteers. This video provides risk management and decision-making guidance and takes about 30 minutes to watch.
- After viewing the video complete a Short Online Confirmation and Acknowledgement of Risk Waiver. This is required before you can resume any volunteer activities.
- Check list reference.
Brief summary of COVID rules
- max 10 people on trips
- masks on at the trailhead and any time people can’t social distance
- extra leader equipment: Hand sanitizer with >= 60% alcohol content, 3+ pairs of medical grade gloves, an extra face covering.
- follow all relevant state policies
The morning of each trip, Faith Salter will send leaders a link to this screening form to fill out.
Managing trips online
To post a trip, go to the Activities Admin and click Add Event on the left. Or search for a “Archived” trips and click “reactivate”. You will get a chance to edit it.
New for 2020 all registrations are online. You have to approve participants for your trip. To do that, go to the My Dashboard. Then click on individual trips to review and approve participants.
Paper forms
All the paper forms are on the AMC Volunteer Resources page. Click on the “Forms & Resources” link. (The link is in the top third of the page, but it’s hard to find.)
The primary forms you will need to use are
- Volunteer Release Agreement (deprecated due to COVID)
- White Mountain National Forest Summary of Use Report. This should be submitted after every trip in the WMNF.
